I was talking to someone (thank you Snowflake Challenge for the intro!) about the awesome Vala from SG1 and I suddenly realised she has some similarities with Wendy Beauchamp from Witches of East End. Not just some overall physical appearances between Claudia Black and Madchen Amick…

..but also in character. Sassy, mischievous, sexual, occasional thievery, braver and smarter than she's first given credit for…and wouldn't Vala make a great shape-shifter into a black kitty?
Wendy:

Vala :
Vala: I haven't been this disappointed since Daniel and I had sex.
Vala: So this girl in the bar, her name was Denya and we struck up a bit of a friendship. By the looks on your faces, I can see you're not surprised I had more in common with the village harlot than I did with any of the ladies from the local knitting circle.
Inago: Vala! You cowardly, backstabbing sorry excuse for a woman. How've you been?
Vala: Inago. You filthy, double talking slug. Nice to see you too.
Cameron Mitchell: Obviously they used to date.
Vala: [reading an Earth magazine] Daniel, do you have one of these "credit cards".
Dr. Daniel Jackson: Yes I do, and no you can't.

Date: 2014-01-22 10:43 am (UTC)A US show but with a strong British-Canadian feel due to the cast and scenery, but also some Whedonverse connections. Tom Lenk appears in at least two episodes and Enver Gjokaj has a recurring arc towards the end of the first season. The show has been renewed for a second season :)
