Nominations are over and sign-ups are now open at
the_mane_event (a multifandom gift exchange for all things hair-related; tagset)
and
hurtcomfortex (Hurt/Comfort Exchange, a pairing and freeform matching multifandom gift exchange; tagset)

Both of these are very much in my wheelhouse but I've not signed up for either. I didn't nominate and looking through the tagsets there's a handful of things I could maybe write. So I'll keep my eyes on these and see if a letter generates interest for a treat fic and when the events are done there'll be plenty of fun fic to read.

FAQ

I don't think I have any fandoms to participate with. The one time I was the first to write something at AO3 it was well between rounds of this challenge :P I still always subscribe to the comm as I think it is a great idea that gives people the encouragement to dare to post for a new fandom at AO3, and it's always fun to see what people come up with.

This round of trope_bingo is another amnesty round meaning you can make your own cards from the provided prompts, or reuse any of your old cards. The round also runs until June to include the usual amnesty period. As well as the usual bingo patterns you can submit "loose fills" i.e. fills that don't make a bingo.
The lower fills requirement is also still in effect, so 100 rather than 500 word minimum for fanfic with similar lower minimums for other types of fill.

2 quick promos

For those who still visit LJ there's the therealljidol a competitive weekly elimination contest. You can sign up using your DW or Open Source ID. sign ups

This year smallfandombang is run from Dreamwidth though "If you don't have a DW account you may comment to the sign-up post(s), check-in posts, etc and also post your fic/art announcements to the comm with OpenID." (Sadly the FAQ now only allows comments from signed in users because people are assholes)
The minimum wordcount is 10k, sign ups for authors are open until 31 October, artist sign ups begin 1 November. Check out the comm for more details and see what counts as a small fandom.

lighthouse_the is a livejournal based landcomm, described as a mix between jjverse and comment_fic. The idea is that each week a guest host will be responsible for posting challenges for the week. The challenges are all open to any fandom and many allow for original work. There are 2 teams, crew_sea and crew_land.

mmom is running again for 2019!

The challenge? To post a masturbation fic for every day in May.

We ask that stories are at least 100 words long, although there's no upper limit.
