I did a few for this question last year of some of my favourites. This time I'll pick things I completed last year. 2018 was a rough year and I didn't write much, though I did finally achieve 100k for Get Your Words Out. So there aren't as many fanworks to pick from!

I'm a multifandom multishipper and have lots of pairings but of all them and all my OTPs, Cesare/Lucrezia is the OTP of OTPs. These aren't necessary my favourite or best works I've ever written but aside from my yuletide this was the only work I wrote for them in 2018.

I was thrilled by my Yuletide assignment and the giftee had a list of wonderful prompts so I tried to include as many as possible, from the pre-canon relationship to a happy ending. I'm pleased with how this worked, even if I could maybe have written one more scene to round out the canon sequence.

"I was desperate when you found me," Silver said hoarsely. "I would have done anything to survive. But all you asked of me was that I carry on your legacy and I have done that to the best of my ability. Now you are home and talking of being my spouse. Of relationships."
Jack closed his eyes for a moment. Dear God, did Silver think Jack was here to consummate the marriage without consent?
"Are you saying you're afraid I will claim you? Force you down on that bed and take you?"
Silver's lip trembled. "You are my husband and the superior partner. It would be your right."
Jack stood and Silver shrank in on himself, Max tensing.
"I shall forgive you," Jack said tightly, "for such terrible thoughts. I can only assume you know nothing of the man I am to harbour such slanderous thoughts."
As I said, multishipper and one who's fallen for some Silver/Rackham. This was for a challenge I love (and should have rec'd the other day!)unconventionalcourtship where you take an existing romance novel summary and rewrite it for a favourite fandom (or original work!).
I got to do Regency Style AU which is another favourite thing, and there's some h/c and demisexual!Silver, and strong Silver&Max and slow burn as Jack tries to negotiate a relationship with Silver.
This is one of those fics where people wanted more from the pairing (as commented in other fics) but never commented on this one. (zero comments to date!) I'm still proud of it, especially as I struggled to get it finished and posted.
My first foray into Silver/Rackham territory in 2017 was better received; a modern AU where Silver works in a petshop and somehow he and Jack end up adopting a cat.

This is a show I almost didn't watch because the trailers gave me a wrong impression of the show. And I never expected to love it as much as I did. I wrote h/c, naturally, fortrope_bingo and the month's whumptober fest promoted on Tumblr.
This is one of those "came to me ready to be written" fics, and the first time in ages the words poured forth beautifully. I'm honestly proud of the descriptions here because I frequently rely more on dialogue than description, especially in a first draft. It also got a lot (for me) of lovely comments and for all those reasons it's a piece I'm fond of and proud to rec.
