For the sixth year running I participated in Yuletide, and also in December/January, the one-off gift exchange held at Legendland. Here are recs for the wonderful gifts I received, and promos for the gift fics I wrote.

In my Yuletide letter I always mention how much I love the symbolism of fairytales and mythology and how AUs on this subject are very welcome; this fic wonderfully blends elements of Red Riding Hood and the Wolf with the Borgias. Beautiful, full of rich imagery and great prose.
There's a lot of great Yuletide fic around, and maybe in future I'll rec some here, although for now I'm just marking fic to read and leaving kudos/comments and adding bookmarks to fic I've enjoyed.

Summary: Getting back to killing things was always a welcome relief. It was familiar ground, but then Zedd was developing the annoying habit of yanking that right out from underneath her feet.
The characters are perfect, the author has really captured Cara's voice in particular, along with the snarky but affectionate Cara/Zedd dynamic, and I love all the "Mord'Sith don't" references. Plus bonus h/c. Highly recommended.

I was so glad to match on someone listing both The Borgias and Da Vinci's Demons in their signup but ultimately I took the opportunity to write a Leonardo/Riario fic. There has been, and will be, more from me in this fandom, and I'm working on something longer for this pairing in particular.
