Journal update
Mar. 16th, 2012 06:33 pm![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
I've finally changed my profile information at both LJ and DW. I've also updated my sticky post.
I've updated my DW theme and customized it, and made cosmetic custom changes to my LJ theme.
I now have a rotating header. It only has six images currently but I'm hoping to add more. The best and most simple tutorial on how to get a rotating header I've seen is here
I've set up an original fic filter post. The link is in my profile and my sticky post.
I've added a Disclaimer and Transformative Works Statement LJ // DW and a Concrit Welcome Statement LJ // DW .
Now that's all done, I can concentrate on starting my masterlist :D

Date: 2012-03-16 07:19 pm (UTC)I also love the ocean, although I live more than 1000 miles away from each coast, so don't get to see it, hear it or smell it for years at a time.
I love Cornwall and Wales (During my college years I spent 3 and 1/2 months in England, and managed to spend 1 week in each place - not nearly enough time, but enough to make me fall in love). I returned to GB a few years ago, but only for 16 days, and except for day trips to York and Canturbury, I stayed in London.

Date: 2012-03-16 07:27 pm (UTC)The header displays a random image from those uploaded to the site each time the page is loaded/refreshed. Since I've only got a few right now you'll probably see the same one quite often.
We do a day trip maybe once a year to the beach and I'd love to move to Wales or Cornwall and be closer to the coast. I have no love for London - too busy, too many rude people, too much traffic [and I say this as someone who grew up and still lives close to the second largest UK city]. I've not been to York or Canterbury though I'd love to see York in particular :D

Date: 2012-03-16 07:49 pm (UTC)I'm impressed by all the hard work you're doing, too, adding in appropriate sticky posts and updating your profile :)
I also love the ocean. I live far enough away that I don't get to the coast all the time, but there's something about being on the beach listening to the waves that I find really relaxing. I like water of all sorts, really, even rain if I'm in the right mood :)

Date: 2012-03-17 08:30 am (UTC)It's been a longer process than I thought but now the ground work is done, updating will be easier :D I was struggling with the css again but I think it's done now.
Yes, rain at night especially can be very soothing :D There's something very soothing about the sound of the ocean too.

Date: 2012-03-17 08:27 am (UTC)Sure :D The tutorial was the easiest one I've ever seen because you don't have to use any css/php to make it work. Just paste urls into the site boxes :D
