Hmm. I was using it for the secondary/tertiary meaning of "nevertheless" and I just double-checked that "yet" is a synonym for "though". I was going for a more "old"/arcane/ceremonial tone. Originally the phrase was the other way round (Blessed Mother, we are all your children, yet you have never given birth) but I thought it stronger this way, while it may have muddled the meaning a bit. I'll think about it some more, thank you :D
